Luis Suarez’s name is there in the Uruguay squad that has been selected by the boss Oscar Tabarez for the two forthcoming friendly games.
Suarez has not been seen in action in any competitive game for some time because of the ban which he had been handed for his misbehaving act in the World Cup.
He is close to finishing his ban period now as far as the club football is concerned, but, he still has to wait for some more time to feature in any competitive international fixture.

However, the striker has been granted permission to make appearance for his country in the friendly matches. So, he would be playing versus Saudi Arabia and also, versus Oman.
Tabarez’s squad for the Saudi and Oman games is experienced, but, it’s not that old. He has called up a few young guys, but, he has not overlooked the veterans totally. He has rested Edinson Cavani, but, other than that, almost all the regulars are there.
Because of the fact that Suarez is not going to be available for selection during the Copa America in 2015, people thought Tabarez might not pick him for these friendlies too.
But, according to the 67-year old manager, Suarez is somebody whom you always want to remain in touch as a manager.
In the press conference yesterday, Tabarez was quoted as saying, “Luis is special. You have to be in touch with him. Yes, I know, he doesn’t have the permission to play in competitive games right now, but, that doesn’t matter to me. I want to keep him associated with the group. It’s very important.”
When asked if he thinks Suarez’s ban is fair enough, he said, “Well, I am not going to put my thoughts forward on that issue publicly.”
